 To be fair, the game's story was that some weird new soda turned some people into  Sugar Skull Girl Day Of The Dead Shirt monsters. Now you go destroy the city and eat mimes because that's what monsters do. The game really didn't need any more to it, though, smashing stuff is fun, but it wasn't a breathtaking narrative masterpiece. I have watched the movie, and I gotta say, it’s not a terrible video game adaption. It’s a lot of dumb fun that doesn’t try to be too smart and over complicated things. I actually very much enjoyed it for what it was: A Rampage Movie. Literally the first time I saw a trailer for the movie, within a minute its like "the gorilla got bigger" and I jokingly said "oh this is a movie for that old Rampage game".
